Dr. Douros graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with a special citation for research in ophthalmology in 1991. She completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center (NYC), an Ophthalmology residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, and a Medical and Surgical Retina Fellowship at the Joslin Diabetes Center/ Harvard Medical School in 1996. Dr. Douros has been in private practice since 1996. She has participated in several clinical studies involving retinal diseases. Dr. Douros has received multiple awards and recognitions— including the Exceptional Women in Medicine Award— and is recognized by Castle Connolly Top Doctors. She is widely loved by her patients and committed to their care.
